Royalton—Phyllis L. Jensen, 86, died early Tuesday morning, August 4, 2020 in the Garden Room at Gifford Medical Center in Randolph.

She was born June 11, 1934 in Brooklyn, N.Y.; the daughter of Felix and Laurette (Karga) Bartkowski. She was raised in Park Slope, Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to Staten Island after she was married.

She attended Saint Saviors School of Brooklyn, graduating in 1952, and St. Vincent School of Nursing in Staten Island.

She married Norman Jensen on November 8, 1958. They moved to Vermont in 1977. Phyllis worked for Gifford Medical Center in many capacities for over 40 years. She enjoyed camping trips to Maine with her husband.

She is survived by her husband, Norman; daughter Phyllis (Stan) Ford; son, Scott (Tina) Jensen; grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents; grandson, Patrick Colby Gray; her brother, Robert and his wife Alma and their daughter Judy; her cousin, Dorothy Krolick, and her children, William (Billy) and Barbara.

Calling hours were held Wednesday, Aug. 12 at the Day Funeral Home in Randolph.

The family will have a private burial at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph Center.
