Kenneth Broadwell


 

 

Randolph—Kenneth D. Broadwell passed away unexpectedly in Maine on July 20, 2022. He was living in Randolph with his companion, Wendy Kelly, for the past couple of years.

He was born October 3, 1970 to Robert D. and Lucile (Rodgers) Broadwell. He grew up in South Royalton where he attended South Royalton School and took building trades at the Randolph Vocational Center.

Kenny worked for DCI sawmill in Royalton, and Vermont Castings, and did gardening and maintenance for many in the Randolph and South Royalton areas. The last few years, Kenny worked for Tim Schroeder of Randolph, who was a great friend to Kenny as well.

Kenny was an avid gardener and took pride in his wonderful gardens. Kenny loved animals and was very creative. He made the most wonderful fish ponds. Kenny loved to hunt, fish, camp, kayak, swim, ride his four wheeler, snowmobile, and have cookouts with his family. He was a hard worker and was always ready to help anyone in need.

Kenny was a loving brother and uncle.

He is survived by his sisters, Karen and Lynn Broadwell, both of South Royalton; a brother, Robert Broadwell of Hartland, Vt.; a stepbrother, Jeffrey Broadwell of Plymouth, Vt.; and a stepsister, Victoria Owens of Pennsylvania. Kenny also leaves behind a niece, Jennifer Homa (and her daughter Lily) of Brookfield; a nephew, Jamie Howe of South Royalton; a nephew, Michael Howe of Corinth, Vt.; and great-nephews, Bradley Howe of South Royalton and Tanner Howe of White River Jct., Vt.

He was predeceased by his parents, Robert in 2002 and Lucille in 2017.

There will be no calling hours. A family graveside service will be held at the Branch View Cemetery in South Royalton.
