East Braintree—Frank F. Boutwell, 88, died Saturday night, June 10, 2017 at Gifford Medical Center.

He was born October 26, 1928 in Hancock; the son of Archie and Annie Boutwell. He was raised in Hancock and was married to Shirley A. Miller in Rutland on July 31, 1948. They lived in Rochester, until moving to Randolph in the 1950s.

Frank had driven truck for Gordon Abell, and had worked at Randolph Lumber Company for many years. He was then a custodian at Randolph High School, until retiring. Frank was a handyman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, and gardening.

Survivors include his daughter, Pat Fabretti and husband, Chico of Swanton; step-daughters, Betty Anderson of Randolph, and Ruth Dextraze and husband, Ed of Claremont, N.H.; seven grandchildren: Penny Carpenter and husband, Alan of Brookfield, Bruce Blanchard and wife, Cassie of Bethel, Chris Blanchard and wife, Stacy of Roxbury, Tonya Blanchard and partner, Charlene of Hartland, Courtney Weiss and husband, Nick of Springfield, Seth Dextraze and wife, Christina of Fernley, Nev., and Scott Dextraze of Bellows Falls; 13 greatgrandchildren; five great-greatgrandchildren; and son in law, Henry Connolly and partner, Jane of Brookfield.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Shirley in 2014; daughter, Dianne Connolly; and eight brothers and sisters.

A calling hour will take place Friday, June 16 from 10-11 a.m. at the Day Funeral Home in Randolph, followed by a graveside committal at 11:15 a.m. at Pleasant View Cemetery in Randolph.
