Two Drivers Are Arrested At 100 mph

In separate incidents Saturday on I-89 southbound, state troopers from the Royalton barracks arrested two drivers clocked at more than 100 mph.

At about 6 p.m., Sgt Rich Slusser stopped a car driven by Thuy Nguyen, 26, of Milton after tracking his car at 109 mph near mile marker 26 in Bethel.

About two hours earlier, Tpr. Jonathan Duncan had arrested Alex Merrill, 28, of Springfield, when stationary radar tracked him as traveling 100 mph at about mile marker 17 in Royalton.

Both men were issued citations to appear in Windsor County Court on charges of excessive speed.
