(Herald / Connor Lambert) It’s never too early to look to the future, and this holds true for South Royalton’s first-grade class.

In their focus on literacy and primarily in the unit of careers, the first graders got the enjoyment of having parents and other family members present their careers and what having that career entails.

The many jobs highlighted included a product development manager, farmer, operating room nurse, welder, nurse, medical assistant, veterinarian, computer programmer, guidance counselor, and farrier.

Their teacher, Tracy Gardner, said she is very pleased with the support given to her in her teaching of the first grade class.
