The annual “Randolph Day” celebration will be Thursday, March 2, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the North Jetty, 1000 Casey Key in Nokomis Beach, Fla.
This popular event has been held for many years, especially for central Vermonters to meet and greet. The picnic is always open to anyone who would like to attend, and those attending are encouraged to bring along visiting friends and family.
“North Jetty Beach Park is a popular fishing spot, where changing tides yield their catch to patient anglers,” said Anne Silloway. “We utilize the picnic shelter, and will gather for a potluck meal, rain or shine. Our potluck brings out some prize-winning baked beans, salads, entrees, and desserts.”
Everyone is asked to bring a small donation per person to offset the cost of the shelter, their own place setting, and own grilling food, if they so choose. Also suggested are a camera, sunscreen, a beach hat, and lawn chairs. Picnic tables are provided. Colin and Joan Gray will supply a grill, and emcee Gus Sivret will keep everyone up to date on current news and perhaps, some good old memories.
