Tunbridge Library Notes

This Saturday, Feb. 18 at 9 a.m., story hour will feature “Friends” of all kinds and sizes. Everyone is invited to come enjoy stories, make some neat art for a friend, and enjoy a light snack.
This month’s trivia challenge is simple—make a list of as many “Teams of Two” that you can find in literature—anything in print. They may be romantic or not, comic or tragic, moral or sinister in their intentions. Use creativity! Remember that all resources are fair game (including those on the internet). The only requirement is to get your submission on paper to the library by 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1. Prizes will be awarded to all who demonstrate effort and reflection.
Don’t forget to check out the new art exhibit “Two Perspectives of Rural Vermont,” in which painter and collage artist Jeanne Mc- Mahan of South Strafford shows her work alongside the intricate pen-and-ink drawings of Peter Neri of Sharon.
The library is here to help meet the needs of the whole community. At this time of year, Friends of the Library are turning to the community for help in preparing Town Meeting Dinner—one part of that day everyone can unanimously support! Drop by, call, or email to find how you can help to make Town Meeting Dinner a success.
Regular library hours are Monday and Wednesday, 3-8 p.m.; Thursday and Friday, 3-6 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. For more information, call 889-9404 or visit TunbridgeLibrary.org.
