Cabin Fever Festivus continues at Sandy’s Books & Bakery this Friday, Feb.17 and Saturday, Feb. 18 with a Tastes of Thailand Banquet on Friday and guest musician Laurie Goldsmith performing her original tunes on Saturday. Both events start at 7 p.m.

The Thai dinner is part of a February series of “World Food Fridays” with representative foods from southern Thailand including spring rolls and curried fish cakes, satay chicken on skewers, vegetarian pad thai, local beef noodle bowl, and bananas in coconut milk and mint with homemade green tea sherbet. Call 767 4258 for reservations.

A longtime performing singer/ songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Goldsmith offers a wide variety of original tunes—with influences from jazz to blues, and reggae to pop. Her most recent CD release with the Laurie Goldsmith Project is “Going Through the Motions.” Folks in Rochester might remember her from her summer gigs at the Rochester Farmers Market & Exchange. The performance is free and open to all.
