Local Girl Scout Cookies Arriving
Communities / Feb. 16, 2017 9:58am EST
The members of Rochester’s Girl Scout Troop #51820 sold a lot of cookies this year—an impressive 2,193 boxes—and after the cookies arrive on February 18, the girls will be busy delivering them to their customers.
The troop has purchased extra boxes of cookies for those who missed the opportunity to order them in advance, and will hold cookie booth sales on Saturdays next month from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at three locations in the valley. They will be at the Rochester Hardware Store on March 11, at the PittStop in Pittsfield on March 18, and at Hubbard’s Store in Hancock on March 25.
Troop leader Linda Anderson reports that the girls have been busy with other projects, too. Seven members of the troop participated in “Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day” at Norwich University of Saturday, Feb. 11; and all of the girls are working on earning badges, with the Daisies learning about taking care of animals, and the older girls working on their journey books.
