What’s so different about the Green Mountains? Find out on Thursday, Feb. 23 at 10:30 a.m. at the Rochester Library.
Local amateur geologist, Victor Ribaudo, will give a slide presentation about the geologic events, beginning over one billion years ago, that formed the signature physical feature of Vermont. His talk will focus on how plate tectonics and immense time intervals contributed to the mountain-building process. A billion years will zip by in just an hour.
