State police report the arrests of four individuals on driving offenses in the last week.

A Bethel 23-year-old was arrested on charges of drunken driving and attempting to elude, after he failed to pull over for police on Route 12 in Bethel the night of Wednesday, May 22.

It was 11:05 p.m. when troopers from the Royalton barracks attempted to stop Deven Hill, for a motor-vehicle violation.

Police reported that Hill instead “took off at a high rate of speed north into Randolph.” He then made a U-turn on Route 12, police said, heading towards Bethel village and pulling into a residence near Whitcomb High School.

Hill was arrested, processed at the Royalton barracks on the two charges, and cited into Windsor Superior Court.

State police arrested Connor Horn, 26, of South Royalton for alleged drunk driving and for driving with a suspended license (DLS) on May 25 at 7:40 p.m.

Horn was initially stopped on Route 14 in Royalton for a minor motor vehicle violation. Police said they found that Horn’s license was suspended and that he was driving while intoxicated. Horn was arrested, processed for the two offenses, and cited to appear in Windsor Superior Court.

Several Issues

A New Hampshire woman was arrested on two charges, after she was pulled over on I-89 northbound in Sharon on May 28.

Troopers initially stopped Chelsea Parker, 25, of Nashua, because her 2002 Volkswagon Jetta was unregistered and had an obstructed windshield.

During the stop, state police determined that Parker was criminally suspended for multiple traffic offenses, and that she had three prior DLS convictions. Parker was also found to have current conditions of release ordering her not to operate a motor vehicle.

Parker was arrested, processed at VSP Royalton, and released on citation to appear in Windsor Superior Court to answer to the charges of DLS, fourth offense, and violation of conditions of release.

DLS #4

State police stopped Jared Brooks, 31, of Randolph, on May 25, after observing him operating a 2002 black Hyundai Accent on I-89 in Randolph.

Brooks’ Vermont license had been suspended for failing to pay fines, and he had three prior DLS convictions in Vermont, police said.

Brooks was arrested at roadside, processed at VSP Royalton, and released on a citation to appear in Orange Superior Court.
