Randolph— Matthew H. Zimet died peacefully in his home early Wednesday March 28, 2012, surrounded by his wife Eva and their four children.

He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., son of Sidney and Rebecca Zimet. Matt endured a long illness with great courage and humor. He was a gifted teacher, recent recipient of the Harold G. Wirtz master teacher award, and taught at Vermont Technical College for 27 years. He revered the natural world, was profoundly creative, knowledgeable and very funny.

He is survived by his wife and children, his sister, brother, nephews and niece, and his good buddies around the world. He is always in our hearts.
