Roethlein Tapped To Run ‘Green Training’ at VTC

MIA ROETHLEIN MIA ROETHLEIN Vermont Technical College has hired Mia Roethlein to manage Green Training programs at Vermont Tech’s Center for Sustainable Practices (CSP).

The CSP’s Green Training Program, now in its second year, is becoming a key New England destination for those seeking workforce training in the growing green trades—solar, geothermal, weatherization, green building, and more.

Roethlein, former program manager for Central Vermont Solid Waste Management District, brings project management and customer service experience to this position, as well as a personal and professional dedication to sustainability. Roethlein will be responsible for managing and growing the Green Training Program, expanding the trainings offered, and increasing public awareness of this educational resource.

CSP plans to substantially expand this year the number and type of training classes held at several sites around the state, said Donna Barlow Casey, CSP director.

Vermont Tech’s certificate training programs, she said, increase participants’ job skills and employment opportunities and offer industry-recognized certificates upon successful completion of the program. The training classes help businesses stay competitive and meet new energy-efficiency and lead-safety requirements, and offer a full range of classes in Vermont.

See csp.vtc.edu for contact information for the CSP’s Green Training Program.
