Edmund C. Therrien
Sharon— Edmund C. Therrien, 69, died Monday evening, Feb. 13, 2012 at his home.
He was born September 24, 1942 in Lebanon, N.H.; the son of Homer and Estelle (Voghell) Therrien. He was raised in Brookfield and graduated from Braintree- Randolph Union High School in 1961. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, and married Gloria C. Manning in White River Junction on October 4, 1970.
He worked on his father’s farm in Brookfield, drove a truck for Gomez Livestock in Lebanon, and was service manager for the New England Equipment John Deere Dealership from 1979-2001. He then sold parts for Lucky’s Equipment, retiring in 2004.
He enjoyed going to and showing at antique car shows, rebuilding Dodge pickups, bluegrass music, fishing, and landscaping.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Therrien of Sharon; his mother, Estelle Therrien of Randolph; sons, Edmund C. Therrien, Jr. of Presque Isle, Maine, and Eric J. Therrien of Andover, N.H.; daughters, Kimberly Joyce Therrien of Sharon, and Kenderlyn Sue Phelps of East Fairfield; brothers, Homer Therrien Jr. of North Berwick, Maine, and Raymond Therrien of Hudson Falls, N.Y.; sisters, Helen Sabens of Barre, Susan Smith of Three Rivers, Mass., Patricia Gaiko of White River Jct., and Alyce Broulliard of Colchester; and six grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brother, Roland Therrien.
Services will be held Friday, Feb. 17 at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Bethel, with Rev. Kenneth Ekekwe officiating. Calling hours are Thursday, Feb. 16 from 5-7 p.m. at the Day Funeral Home in Randolph.
