‘Abigail Adams’ At Billings Farm

The Billings Farm & Museum in Woodstock will host “Abigail Adams: Madame President” on President’s Day, Monday, Feb. 20, at 3 p.m. in the farm and museum’s theater. This Vermont Humanities Council program is free and open to the public, and accessible to people with disabilities.

Actress Linda Myer will portray Abigail Adams who was swept far beyond her humble roots in Weymouth, Mass. by the tumultuous events of the American Revolution. Witness her journey—from loyal British subject to ardent revolutionary and from Weymouth to the White House. Throughout her life, she wrote reams of letters about everything from potatoes to politics, revealing her strengths, passions, heartaches, and trenchant opinions.

Myer, who consulted many of them in her character research, has performed in feature films, Boston- area theaters, commercials, and has toured nationally. She has published articles, reviews, and poems, and was director of History Making Productions, an education theater company.

For seating reservation, go to reservations@billingsfarm.org or call 802-457-2355.
