VATTA To Hold Statewide Event At Chandler Center in Randolph

The Vermont Association of Theatre and Theatre Artists (VATTA) has announced that its 25th annual statewide professional theatre auditions and interview day for personnel involved in tech, design, management, directing, choreography, etc. will be held Saturday, March 3 from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at the Chandler Center for the Arts in Randolph. An informal Theatre Town Meeting will follow the auditions if time allows.

This popular annual event is an excellent opportunity for up to 75 talented and skilled theatre personnel of all ages to network with, and/ or audition for, the VATTA Producers’ Circle, comprised of 15-20 professional and semiprofessional (Equity and non-Equity) theatre groups, casting and talent agents, directors of stage/film/video, and indie producers throughout Vermont, who offer monetary compensation for specific personnel. Some of these companies also offer intern or apprentice programs that require auditions.

The day includes periods of follow up access with Producers’ Circle members. Also, those hoping to expand their experiences in the areas of design, directing/choreography, playwriting, management, or with technical skills, can sign up for access to the Producers’ Circle as well.

Registration fees and materials must be submitted in advance. Materials postmarked February 27 or later are subject to a late fee and require follow-up phone contact. Walk-ins must have all materials and fees in hand. VATTA does all it can to place walk-ins, but makes no guarantees.
