At its annual meeting on January 15, members of the Sharon Congre­gational Church, UCC dis­cussed the need for getting news and informa­tion about events out to the public.

A more formal procedure has been formed for getting the word out. Please contact the church sec­retary, Alice McDonald, with any meetings or events that you sched­ule regarding church activities and/ or outreach.

A new group of stitchers has started meeting at the Sharon Con­gregational Church UCC on the second and fourth Mondays of the month at 6:30 p.m. This group is be­ing lead by Lynn Wheatley, and all forms of handcrafts and stitchery are welcome. The first group proj­ect will be for each person to make a square for a quilt that will be given to the church to raffle in thanks for the use of the building. Old and new family recipes are needed for a com­munity cookbook. This project was started last year, but never finished, and recipes are still welcome.
