TD Bank, through the TD Chari­table Foundation, recently donated a total of $1,000 to SafeArt in Or­ange County as part of the bank’s commitment to giving back to the community.

SafeArt is an arts and health orga­nization that engages the transfor­mative power of the arts to prevent and heal abuse and other traumas through performances, school resi­dencies, wo­men’s, youth and teen groups, the Randolph Community Roots Project and private sessions. The organizations is using the funds from the TD Charitable Foundation to send Chelsea Sargent to Marl­boro College’s Certificate in Non- Profit Management program.

“We hope that this training will help strengthen SafeArt’s ability to make an impact in Chelsea, the Upper Valley and Vermont through art,” Sargent said. “We believe in the power of the arts to create personal and social change.”
