Brookfield Writers Group Meeting
If you have memories of important moments in your life that keep running through your head, consider joining the Brookfield Writers group Saturday, Feb. 4 at 1 p.m. at the Brookfield Library.
This group will be the “child” of the Hale Street Gang, which has been making a name for itself in central Vermont. Based in Randolph, the “Gang” has been writing for three years under the guidance of Sara Tucker. They have performed readings at various galleries, Chandler Music Hall, Vermont Technical College, and, most recently, at the Vermont Historical Society’s annual meeting at the State House in Montpelier. The group has published two anthologies and numerous personal memoirs.
Two Brookfield residents, Bonnie Fallon and Dorcas Wright, have been part of the “Gang.” They have had a real adventure recalling early memories, some of them of Brookfield.
“What wonderful stories are waiting to be written by other local people?” Wright said. “Join us at the Brookfield Library on February 4 and see.”
