WHS at State Track Meet

The Whitcomb track team hit it off once again at the Division III state meet on June 2. Many fans came to watch the competitors on the long, hot, and tiring day.

The girls' relay team- Mikayla Dieffenbach, Killian White, June Claughton, and Meredith Kill- placed sixth out of several teams. M. Kill placed sixth in the 400 meter. Dieffenbach placed sixth in the 100 meter hurdle finals and fourth in the long jump, at 14'4".

Peter Burgos placed fifth in the 3000 meter race, and seventh in the 1500 meter race. Joe Kill placed sixth in the 3000 meter race, and was also the team senior.

Overall the team had an awesome day and should be proud of individual efforts and the team's showing as a whole.
