'Being Here Is Fabulous' It is hard for me to express my feelings now. Ten months in Vermont passed so fast. I feel so sad when I have to say the word "goodbye" to the people here, especially my host families- Nora Skolnick and her family, Shirley Stewart and her family, John & Gretchen Kidder and family and Jay & Mary Kay Strand and family. They are very generous to me. They tried and tried to make me happy. I got a very warm welcome. I got a lot of knowledge and experiences from the excellent teachers in Randolph Elementary School, which is a great school. They helped me, shared the ideas and advised me on many new teaching techniques. The kids are so cute. They always paid attention to me when I taught. They were interested in my country to the point where I think I must meet them in my country someday. I know this land isn't my land but I feel it's my second home. Every place I went, the people were so friendly and smiled to me. When I didn't understand what they said, they were patient and tried to listen and speak to me. I appreciate them very much. Being here is fabulous. It made me have many things to tell the people in my country. My students will get more knowledge and enjoy my stories. Everything here will be in my mind forever. Big thanks and goodbye Green Mountains, the pretty land in my dream! I hope to see the people from here in my land, Thailand Primprao ("Prim") Dejdamrong (Visiting teacher from Thailand) |
