Innocent But Assumed Guilty All I have to say is this: why do we live in such a time where people have to assume before they can ask their neighbors if they are in fact doing something when they are not? I live in a little apartment building on Forest Street, and on May 30, myself and my spouse were accused of smoking marijuana. We have never, nor will we ever, do drugs in any way, shape, or form- though it seems most of our neighbors seem to think so. I hope they, along with other readers, read this so they may be encouraged to face someone with a problem before accusing them of doing drugs. My spouse and I were told that if someone were to call about "us" doing drugs again, we could not only lose our apartment, but we could also lose our two children of eight months and 20 months. This is something that I do not appreciate, especially since it wasn't us. We have an idea of who it was, and if you do it again, we will call the cops! I'm very stressed out right now, but if this ever happens again, there will be h___ to pay. Robert Holman Randolph |
