Joyce E. Comes

FT. MEYERS, FLA.—Joyce E. Comes, 65, of Ft. Meyers, Fla. and Hancock, died June 22, 2008 at her home in Fort Meyers after a battle with cancer.

She was born in Hancock Oct. 12, 1942, the daughter of George and Vivian (Rattie) Comes. She graduated from Rochester High School in 1959 and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling, reading, flea markets, and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her three sons Lonnie Murray and Eric Murray, both of Barre, and Michael Murray of Belgrade, Mont.; two sisters, Joanne Lanpher of Hancock, and Sharon Wood of Ft. Meyers, Fla.; a brother, Larry Comes of Bristol; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; as well as nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, and a brother, Eugene Comes.

A memorial grave site service will be held at the Hancock Cemetery on Sunday, Aug. 31, at 1 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
