STRAFFORD—Celinda M. Robinson, 68, died Saturday, July 5, 2008 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H. She was born January 1, 1940 in Stockbridge, the daughter of Walter and Helen (Brown) Mills. She attended school in Stockbridge and later Whitcomb High School in Bethel, graduating in 1957. On June 5, 1960, she married Arthur E. Robinson of Strafford. They lived all their married life in Strafford, where they ran the family dairy farm together. She was a member of the United Church of Strafford, serving as its clerk for many years. She was also a past president of the Strafford PTA and a member of the Strafford Athletic Association. She had a great imagination, whether it was telling stories, writing poems for special occasions, designing and making floats for the July 4 parade in Strafford, or sewing Halloween costumes. She enjoyed vegetable gardening, berry picking, cake decorating, helping with the church rummage sale, and caring for her family, grandchildren and neighbors. Survivors include her husband; a son, Larry A. Robinson; and a daughter, Diane M. Tensen, all of Strafford; four grandchildren; a brother, Walter Mills Jr. of Bethel; six sisters: Cynthia Jarvis of Braintree, Edith Trask, Barbara Hayward, Patricia Lyman and Debra Antiuk, all of Bethel; and Connie Kellogg of Peacham; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Charles Mills. There are no public calling hours. A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 10 at 1 p.m. at the United Church of Strafford, with Rev. Mary Thompson officiating. Burial will be in the Strafford Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Strafford Town House, P.O. Box 27, Strafford, Vt. 05072; or the Strafford Athletic Association, P.O. Box 123, South Strafford, Vt. 05070.
