A Brattleboro man, Michael P. Davern, 47, was killed last week Thursday in a single-car motor vehicle accident on I-89 northbound at mile marker 11 south of Sharon.

State police reported this week that the vehicle, a 1990 GMC pickup operated by Davern, drifted off the east side of the roadway and collided with the ditch, coming to a final position of rest in the travel lane. 

Troopers Corliss, Brouillard, and Wolkenbrod responded.

Davern was transported by Hartford Rescue to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. The investigation is continuing.
