We think it was a great idea to change the name back to Belmain’s, but we were not happy to learn the new sign was purchased, not only out of town, but out of state. Then, just to add to it, it is featured on the front page of The Herald. It seems to us that a business that depends on local support and one that has been supported by local taxpayers when times were bad after the fire, could have at least had a Vermont company produce and install their new sign. We know that we were never contacted for an estimate. Apparently buying local only applies to some. Wonder how many folks from Lebanon drive up to support Belmain’s? We really hesitated writing this, as it’s not about our company losing business; thanks to much local support, our company is very busy and has grown a lot over the past few years. What it is about is local people and businesses supporting each other, especially in times like these, and in what looks like tougher times to come. We thought it ironic that both the paper and the ink used for this letter were purchased at Ben Franklin. Rob & Lynne Niebling Rule Signs & Graphics Randolph ____________ |
