Cullen L. Haskins, son of Vern and Patty Haskins of Pittsfield, was named to the Dean’s List at Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y., where he is a freshman majoring in mechanical engineering.

Two RUHS students, Lianna Reed, the daughter of Paul Reed and Alex Halasz, and Katie Jickling, the daughter of Jon Jickling and Laura Rochat, recently attended the Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership Seminar at St. Michael’s College in Colchester.

Thomas Barnum, son of Chuck and Florence Barnum of Brookfield, received a Master of Science degree from Auburn University in Alabama May 10. A 1998 graduate of RUHS and 2002 graduate of Elmira College in Elmira, N.Y, he has been accepted into the University of Georgia, where he will work toward his Ph.D. He will spend this summer in Panama doing site work for a project on changes happening in environmental communities due to stresses and loss of species.

Allison Wilder, daughter of Allen and Jackie Wilder of Brookfield, received her Ph.D. in education from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va. May 17. She was also awarded a post-Master’s certificate in aging studies. Presently an assistant professor at the Metropolitan State College of Denver, Dr. Wilder was awarded the Faculty Senate Teacher’s Excellence Award from that institution for the 2007-08 academic year.

Emily Crosby of Randolph, received the Theater Award for Design Technology and Management from Wagner College in Staten Island, N.Y. A theater and speech major and a member of the Dean's List, she served as stage manager for at least four shows on campus. On May 16, she graduated with a bachelor of arts degree, cum laude.

Eric Vande Griek, son of Todd and Carmen Vande Griek of Randolph Center, was named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester at the College of Engineering at Northeastern University in Boston, Mass.

Leif R. Amber of Chelsea was named to the Dean’s List at Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y., where he is a sophomore, majoring in electrical engineering.

Laura Holt, daughter of Debra and George Holt of Randolph, was named to the Dean’s List at Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y. A graduate of RUHS, she will be a junior at Hamilton this fall, majoring in anthropology.
