BRAINTREE—Carl R. Lund, 54, of Braintree, died early Friday morning, June 6, 2008 at his home. He was born November 4, 1953 in Bridgeport, Conn., the son of Clarence J. and Doris (Mitchell) Lund. He was raised in Guilford, Conn., and married Gail Earles there on June 27, 1975. He had lived in Muskogee, Okla. for 11 years. He and his family moved to Clinton, Conn. Before moving to Chelsea, in 1992, and finally to Braintree in 2006. He was a machinist and had worked at Waterbury Company until its closing. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, boating, and bird watching. Survivors include his wife, Gail Lund of Braintree; two daughters, Dawn Sprague of Chelsea and Jennifer Doyle of Lebanon, N.H.; brothers, John Lund of Pennsylvania, Henry Lund of Texas, David Lund of Connecticut, Cary Lund of Oklahoma, and Wayne Lund of North Carolina; two sisters, Selma Bouchard of Pennsylvania and Rose Lund of Oklahoma; and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Clarence Lund, Jr. Memorial services will be held Thursday, June 12 at 1:30 p.m. at the Unitied Church of Chelsea, with Rev. Diana Benjamin, officiating.
