‘Observer’ Extols
2 RUHS Teachers

During this semester I have spent considerable time at Randolph Union High School observing an intern who is an aspiring teacher. This program, which includes a year-long internship, is sponsored by Upper Valley Teacher Institute based in West Lebanon, New Hampshire.

I can not say enough about Tina O’Donnell and Scott Sorrell, who have acted as mentor teachers for Lisa. Their enthusiasm for teaching and the respect shown towards their students, which they display on a daily basis, are exemplary. From the moment that students enter the classroom ready to work, until the end of the class, the focus is on learning. The engagement of both the teachers and the students makes it a real pleasure to observe.

I want to take this opportunity to let Tina and Scott know that they are truly appreciated for their knowledge of subject matter and for their teaching skills. It has been a great experience for me. Even though I taught for almost 50 years, I have rarely seen instruction so competently delivered. Randolph Union High School is indeed fortunate to have Tina and Scott as part of their teaching staff.
