Meet The Herald’s
Two Summer Interns
By Courtney Bonoyer
and Chelsea Rose Sargent

There are two spectacular interns (If they say so, themselves. –Ed.) at the Randolph Herald this summer, Courtney Bonoyer and Chelsea Rose Sargent.

Bonoyer, of Braintree, graduated from Randolph Union High School in 2004, and is currently a communications major at Castleton College with a particular interest in graphic design. An exciting class last semester peaked her interest in journalism so she’s giving The Herald a try to see if that’s what she wants to do.

Bonoyer will graduate next year, at which point she plans to "get away as fast as possible," from Vermont. She hopes to wind up on the coast, either in the east or in California. Bonoyer fell in love with California last summer when working at Yosemite National Park.

When not reporting or working, you’ll probably find Bonoyer drawing. She loves doing portraits in pencil and is currently minoring in art.

Chelsea Rose Sargent is heading into her junior year at Bard College, a small liberal arts school in Hudson, N.Y. She lives in Brookfield and graduated from RUHS in 2006.

Sargent is currently a psychology major, but is considering double majoring, in Russian studies, as well.

A self-proclaimed knitting addict, who at one point gave herself carpal tunnel syndrome from knitting, Sargent decided to intern at The Herald because "writing is my first love and knitting my way through college was detrimental to my health."

When she isn’t knitting or writing for the paper she likes to play with kids and hopes to help kids with developmental psychology when she graduates.

Until then, she hopes to pay the bills by doing odd jobs for people and says that if anyone needs odd jobs done she is ready, willing, and able to help.
