MARIE B. LACKARD RANDOLPH CENTER — Marie B. Lackard, 88, of Randolph Center, died Thursday, May 22, 2008 at her home. She was born June 6, 1919 in Rochester, the daughter of Wilfred P. and Josephine M. (Corriveau) Bilodeau. She graduated from Johnson High School, and married James F. Lackard in Hyde Park on June 3, 1946. She had lived in Johnson where she was a model and assistant to the artist Georgia Balch. She then lived in Barre, Essex Junction, Waitsfield and Waterbury, before moving to Randolph in 1968 and finally to Randolph Center in 1975. Her husband died in 1978. She had worked for Merrimaids in Randolph and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary. She was a paid extra in the movie, "Me, Myself and Irene," which was filmed in Vermont. She enjoyed dancing, singing, gardening, doing crafts and sewing. Survivors include her son, John M. Lackard of Randolph; daughter, Valentia M. Lackard of Randolph Center; brother, Wilfred Bilodeau of Weybridge; sister, Cecelia "Dolly" Sinclair of South Burlington; one grandson, and one step-granddaughter. She was predeceased by her sisters, Yvonne Sargent and Mary Jane King. A mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, May 29 at 1 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Bethel, with Rev. Peter O’Leary officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Duxbury. Calling hours were May 28 at the Day Funeral Home in Randolph. Online condolences may be left at www.dayfunerals.com.
