Chelsea Man ‘Critical’
After Motorcycle Crash

A 30-year-old Chelsea man remained in critical condition yesterday after being ejected from his motorcycle Saturday afternoon, in a single-vehicle accident on Route 14 in Royalton.

State police said Adam Doyle suffered a broken leg and unknown internal injuries in the 1:30 p.m., May 24 crash.

Royalton Fire and White River Valley Ambulance assisted on scene, until Doyle was airlifted to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, where he remained yesterday.

Police said that Doyle was northbound on Route 14, and traveling around 70 mph, when he was unable to maneuver his 1988 Kawasaki motorcycle around a sharp, left-hand turn. At the time, Doyle was traveling a short distance behind another motorcyclist, who had made the turn before him, police reported.

Doyle, unable to negotiate the curve, was ejected from his bike as it slid out of control.

Police reported that Doyle’s motorcycle was totaled in the accident.
