RANDOLPH—Arnold L. Rattee, 86, died Thursday morning, May 15, 2008 at Gifford Medical Center. He was born December 5, 1921 in Randolph, the son of Julius and Mary (Degonyon) Rattee. A lifetime Randolph resident, he graduated from Randolph High School in 1939 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He had worked as an auto mechanic for Pierce’s, Allan Garage, Skinner’s Filling Station, Dodge Auto Sales and Valley Motors of Bethel. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was predeceased by his brother Arthur, and his second wife, Florence. Survivors include his sons, Reginald Rattee of Lake Placid, N.Y., and Michael Rattee of Tucson, Ariz.; a daughter, Jean Kendall of Braintree; a brother, Donald Rattee of Randolph; his first wife, Helen Rattee of Randolph; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Graveside memorial services will be held at a later date at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph Center. There are no calling hours.
