Randolph Singers Program To Feature McMeekin & Atwood The Randolph Singers will present their spring concert featuring an all John Rutter program on Saturday, May 31 at 7 p.m. at the Baptist Fellowship Church, Rt. 66, Randolph. The Randolph Singers includes 32 singers from area towns. Conducted by Kathy Rotondi of Northfield, they are accompanied by Tim Guiles of Williamstown. This concert is Rotondi’s first Randolph Singers concert; she also directs the Brookfield Community Singers. Rutter, from Cambridge, England is a renowned composer of choral, orchestral and instrumental music, his work being performed world wide. The music to be sung includes three anthems, selections from the Birthday Madrigals, and the challenging and beautiful Requiem, which includes seven movements. One movement written for cello accompaniment will be played by Becky McMeekin of Braintree, and another written for either flute or oboe accompaniment will be played by flutist Julie Atwood, also from Northfield. There will be no admission charge, but a free will offering will be taken. ____________ |
