Elephants Fly In Randolph Saturday!

You’ve seen a house fly, a dragon fly and even a horse fly. You’ll know you’ve seen about everything, when you see an elephant fly in downtown Randolph this Saturday, May 17.

In fact, you’ll see several flying elephants over all of the participating businesses and organizations celebrating "Spring in Downtown Randolph." Visit at least eight of the flying elephant sites and qualify for a chance to win a grand prize gift basket worth over $400. No purchase is necessary and with a valid entry form, you need not be present to win.

Bring the family into downtown Randolph anytime between 10 a.m.-6 p.m. for fun, food, entertainment and special in-store and outdoor sales events happening throughout the downtown area. The day will feature live music, face painting, sidewalk chalk drawing, balloons, karaoke, tarot reading, a tatting demonstration, Reiki treatments, and astrology chart readings.

The Chandler Art Gallery will be open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. with their new exhibit "Imagining the Future." As a special treat for the kids, the "No Strings Marionette Co." will be perform a "downtown walkabout" after 3 p.m.

Come early and pick up your combination map/entry form listing the locations of participating businesses and organizations. Then, be sure to complete and turn in your validated entry form at the Randolph Historical Society table, on the corner of Main St. and Merchants Row, before 6 p.m. to be eligible for the grand prize drawing.

Participating downtown businesses and organizations include Patrick’s Place Restaurant, Muwart and Malachite, Fenix Fine Foods, The Rosebud Flower Shop, Cover to Cover Book Store, Central Vermont Photo, Valley Bowl, Blue Moon Boutique, Three Bean Café, Chittenden Bank, the Chandler Art Gallery, Randolph Historical Society, Kimball Library, White River Craft Center, and Rural Vt. Real Estate. The Movie Gallery located in the Justin Morgan Plaza will also be present for the downtown activities. For information on the event, contact any of the participating businesses.
