Madeline Chambers WINDSOR—Madeline A. Chambers, 75, died Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at Concord Hospital in Concord, N.H. She was born January 18, 1933, on Central St. in Randolph, the daughter of Leo and Clara (Stowe) Flint. She loved her family and enjoyed reading, sports, gardening, needlepoint and fishing. In earlier years, she worked at many of the various shoe shops in the communities nearby. She married James V. Chambers March 24, 1949 and they were later divorced. She later spent 27 years taking care of her friend and companion, Frank Macia. Survivors include two sons, Ernest J. Chambers and wife, Dianne, of Charlestown, N.H., and Ricky J. Chambers and wife, Sandi, of Claremont, N.H.; and four daughters, Ann M. Callum and husband, Gerald, of Newport, N.H., Carolyn M. Duncan of Windsor, Rose Chambers of Claremont, N.H., and Penny Stammers and husband, Brian, of Cornish, N.H.; two sisters, Evelyn Kendal of Monticello, N.Y., and Arlene Comette of Randolph, 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. At her request, a private graveside service was held by the family at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Randolph, Tuesday, April 29. Rev. Thomas J. Harty of Randolph officiated. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center, 289 County Road, Windsor, Vt. 05089; or to the Stoughton House, 46 North Main St., Windsor, Vt. 05089. ____________ |
