Gal Ghosts Lacrosse

Takes 1 Win, 1 Loss

By Sarah Kresock

The RUHS girls lacrosse team fell to a record of 1-2 last week, with a first-of-the-season win over St. Johnsbury and a loss to Chelsea.

Win over St. J.

The RUHS girls took home a win last Wednesday over the St. Johnsbury Hilltoppers with a final score of 9-5. It was an exciting day for the girls with a variety of scorers and a total of six saves from goalie Erica Weber.

Goals were made by Jenna Miller, Megan Reymore, Brooke Sargeant, Amanda Bowen, Sarah Kresock (and three assists), and Abby Peltier (two assists) and Erika Smith (one assist) with two goals apiece. The game ended two minutes short of the buzzer on account of lightning.

Loss to Chelsea

The following Friday the girls took on the Chelsea Red Devils only to come out on the bottom with a score of 11-3. The girls just couldn’t keep up with the speed of last year’s DII runners up.

Erika Smith, Amanda Bowen and Megan Reymore had the goals for Randolph. Erica Weber made 16 saves for the Galloping Ghosts.

The girls will play U-32 this Saturday.
