Road Conditions Dangerous

I wanted to write a note to share my unhappiness and concern with the road conditions this year in Randolph and Randolph Center.

I realize that the road crews have worked hard and have had a lot to keep up with this winter. I thank them for their efforts. However, there have been many dangerous potholes and washed out areas that lacked attention for weeks and created dangerous situations for drivers and pedestrians.

I mention two areas by the railroad tracks on Main Street and by the stop sign at Elm, Forest and Main Street. In fact, our front tire was blown out at this stop sign. The hole was full of water and traffic was coming the other way. Surely a hidden danger.

I know for a fact that two other people blew tires out at this same stop sign. It would be interesting to know how many other people had problems at the stop sign as well as to other areas of Randolph and Randolph Center.

Winter is tough on Vermont roads and our vehicles. However, Randolph’s attention to the most deep and dangerous potholes and washouts is something that should not be overlooked and not allowed to be a problem for weeks and at the very least should be identified and marked.
