VTC Student Gile Wins VCC Award

Vermont Technical College student Jennifer Gile has been named VTC’s 2008 winner of the Vermont Campus Compact Commitment to Service and Engagement Award.

A junior in the college’s architecture program, Gile is vice president of the American Institute of Architecture Students at VTC, and has coordinated on- and off-campus fundraisers and service work through the group. In September 2007, she organized and participated in a river clean-up. She also helped with the Safe and Seen Halloween project.

Vermont Campus Compact is a statewide consortium of 22 college and university presidents and their institutions committed to creating a flourishing democracy. Award winners were honored at the VCC Gala on Tuesday, March 18 at the University of Vermont Davis Center.
