New Chelsea School Principal Coming from Lyndon School
By Cornelia Cesari

Karoline Johnson will be Chelsea School’s new principal next year.

Originally from Vermont, Johnson completed post-graduate work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and has also been a teacher in North Carolina. She is currently the Assistant Principal at Lyndon Town School, a K-8 school with over 500 students.

Johnson will officially begin on July 1, 2008, but will spend time in school before the end of the year to assure a smooth transition. A reception will be held this spring to welcome her to the school community.

Chelsea’s interim principal, Barrett Williams, has accepted a position as principal of Sharon Elementary School for next year. School Board chair Emily Marshia publicly thanked Williams "for the strength of character, optimism, and dedication that he has provided our school in recent years."
