News of Area Students

Jennifer R. Hough, daughter of Lisa Seaver-Maston of Scenic Drive in Randolph and Edward Hough of Rutland, has been accepted into the M.A. program for forensic psychology at Argosy University in Sarasota, Fla. She is a 2003 graduate of Randolph Union High School and a 2007 graduate of Lyndon State College with a B.S. degree in psychology, along with A.S. degrees in both television news and broadcasting. She was awarded memberships into the National Scholars Honor Society and the National Society of Leadership and Success in May/June 2006 and given the Arthur B. Elliott Honor Society Award in May 2007.

Liam Danaher, son of Beth Danaher of Brookfield, spent winter break January 5-12, volunteering at the Immokalee Friendship House in Immokalee, Fla., through the Saint Michael’s College alternative break/extended service program. A junior political science major at Saint Michael’s, he is a graduate of Randolph Union High School.

Evan G. MacCarthy of Chelsea was named to the Dean’s List at Clark University in Worcester, Mass. A graduate of the Sharon Academy, he is a senior at Clark, majoring in screen studies.

Ithaca College

The following area students were named to the Dean’s List at Ithacac College in Ithaca, N.Y.

•Calvin Smith, son of Lawrence and Andrea Smith of Brookfield, was named to the Dean's List at Ithaca College's Roy H. Park School of Communications.

•Brendan Mollica, son of Robert and Catherine Mollica of Randolph, was named to the Dean's List at Ithaca College's School of Humanities and Sciences.
