NORTHFIELD—Frank E. Jackson, 87, died Sunday, March 9, 2008, at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster, N.H. He was born November 27, 1920, in New Orleans, La. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was married to Arlene Perry in Miami, Ariz. on Sept. 14, 1957. They lived in Miami, Ariz. and Phoenix, Ariz., before moving to Randolph, where they owned and operated a dairy farm on Fish Hill Road. They returned to Miami, Ariz., before settling in Northfield in 1963. He had been a bus driver and custodian for the Northfield School District for many years. After retirement, he drove a truck for Tucker Trucking of Northfield. His wife Arlene died in 2006. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Northfield, and enjoyed reading, gardening, and caring for his animals. Survivors include a son, Alan Jackson of Woodstock, N.H.; a daughter, Adrienne Guidoboni of Portsmouth, N.H.; and a grandson, Damien Jackson. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a daughter, Tina Jackson. Private graveside services at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph Center will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
