Paul J. Willey WEST RUTLAND—Paul J. Willey, 87, died Monday, March 3, 2008 at Rutland Regional Medical Center. He was born March 20, 1920 in Braintree, the son of John and Elizabeth (Lemery) Willey. He attended Roxbury and Northfield schools, then served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married Rosetta Rogers in Mendon, Oct 13, 1947. They lived in Rutland City until 1981, where they operated the Sunset Restaurant for many years. They then moved to Roxbury, where they lived until moving to West Rutland in 1992. He enjoyed beagling (beagle racing), hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Rosetta Willey, and daughter, Gay Cox, both of West Rutland; and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Richard Paul Willey; and a sister, Pauline Potter. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 20 at 11 a.m. at the Roxbury Village Cemetery in Roxbury. There are no calling hours. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Rutland Regional Medical Center, 160 Allen Street, Rutland, Vt. 05701.
