Chandler Gallery Seeks Local Artists for Centennial Show

In keeping with the Chandler Centennial Season, the Chandler Gallery will present "Past, Present and Future: The Centennial Local Artist Show" from April 5-May 11. In order to mark this 100th birthday, the gallery is seeking 100 artists to participate with just one piece of artwork each.

This show is open to all media, whether two or three-dimensional. The show will be judged by categories, with the number of categories determined by the types of mixed media presented.

If you are interested in presenting, notify the gallery as soon as possible. They will need to know the type of art and approximate size so that preparations can be made. All artwork should be titled and priced. Even if the piece is not for sale, a dollar value is required for insurance purposes. An entry fee will be collected to help to offset the gallery preparation and maintenance costs.

Drop off times will be Tuesday, April 1, 9:30-12 noon and 4-5:30 p.m.; Wednesday, April 2, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and 4-5:30 p.m.; and Thursday, April 3, 10 a.m.-12 noon.

An opening reception will be held on Saturday, April 5 from 6 - 8 p.m. For more information call Gallery chair Ken Goss at 728-4351 or Betsy Cantlin at 728-9878.
