‘Mini Mud!’ Returns to Chandler The second annual "Mini Mud!" variety show will be presented Friday, March 7 at 7 p.m. at Chandler Music Hall in Randolph. The show will feature the talents of over 65 youth and teens from the Central Vermont area. With performers ranging in age this year from 8-18, "Mini Mud!" is a more youthful version of Chandler’s Mud Season Variety Show. The March 7 performance will offer 21 acts featuring dance, song, poetry, comedy, drumming, jazz music, accordion and much more. Participants are coming from near and far, including the towns of Randolph, Randolph Center, Braintree, Bethel, Brookfield, Chelsea, Williamstown, Rochester, Gaysville, Hartford, Sharon, South Royalton, Northfield and Stockbridge. Area teens will be on hand to help to introduce the acts. Chandler’s teen tech assistants will be working behind the scenes. As an addition to Mini Mud, the Chandler Gallery has chosen March 7 for the opening of the student art show "100." Students from the Randolph area have creatively explored the theme of 100 in their art work as a tribute to Chandler’s Centennial. This imaginative annual exhibit has featured work from students in grades K–12 for the past 25 years. Reception hours are 5–7 p.m. on Friday, March 7, with the gallery also open from March 8–30, Thursdays from 4–6 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 1–3 p.m. "Mini Mud!" is a fundraiser for the youth programming offered at Chandler throughout the year. Audience members of all ages will enjoy this celebration of youth talent. Chandler Music Hall is physically accessible. Reserved tickets for this performance are available by calling 728-6464 between 3–6 p.m. on weekdays, at tickets@chandler-arts.org, or at the door. ____________ |
