To Elect a Woman

There are candidates in both parties who are intelligent, decent and concerned about the appropriate issues.

Our planet is being ripped apart by war and corporate greed.

The disparity in wealth has never been more exaggerated, while the gap is growing exponentially.

Morality is eroding, and our children can’t read or write.

Private individuals have personal net worth in excess of the GNP of small countries.

Business, which should work towards the good of the whole, has been transmuted into an unchecked machine which amasses money for its own sake.

The move towards electing a woman for president is profoundly important at this time. It signals that the world is capable of stepping beyond the patriarchal stereotype which continues to control politics and corporate boardrooms. A balance of feminine energy and spirit is missing in foundation of these powerful cultures. Our nation will self implode without it.

Hillary Clinton in the White House gives this nation a leader with intelligence and wisdom. It also symbolizes the end of our nation’s prejudice against women as leaders.

For our daughters, our granddaughters, for all the women in this country and around the world, the choice of a woman as President of the United States has more potential for global change and inherent symbolic clout than any event in our political history
