News of Area Students

Erin Salls, daughter of Pam and Mike Salls of Randolph, was named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester at Champlain College in Burlington. A 2004 graduate of RUHS, she is majoring in multi-media graphics.

Cullen Haskins, son of Vern and Patty Haskins of Pittsfield, was named a Presidential Scholar for the fall 2007 semester at Clarkson University in Pottsdam, N.Y. A 2007 graduate of Rochester High School, he is a freshman at Clarkson, majoring in mechanical engineering.

Laura Holt, daughter of Debra and George Holt of Randolph, has been named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2007 semester at Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y., where she is a sophomore. A graduate of RUHS, she has also been selected to compete for the Hamilton College women’s swimming and diving team for the 2007-08 season.

Mickaela Downs, daughter of Harvey and Brenda Downs of Rochester, was named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester at the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine. A 2004 graduate of Rochester High School, she is majoring in applied exercise science pre-physical therapy.

Alaina Ryan of Randolph was named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2007 semester at the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh.

Derek Flint, son of Greg and Teresa Flint of Braintree, was named to the Dean’s List for the fall term at the University of Northwestern Ohio, where he is majoring in diesel technician training.

Josh Baumann, son of John and Barbara Baumann of Randolph, has been named to the Dean’s List for the 2007 fall semester at the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine. A 2007 graduate of Randolph Union High School, he is majoring in marine biology, and is also actively involved in the university’s fishing club.

Jessica Ware, daughter of Sherri Ware of Tunbridge, was recently inducted into the Psi Chi National Honor Society. She attends Charleston Southern Baptist University in Charleston, S.C., where she is a junior, majoring in psychology and sociology.

Megan Morse, daughter of Shawn and Carol Morse of Bethel, was named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester at Norwich University in Northfield, where she is majoring in architectural studies.

Leif R. Amber of Chelsea was named as a Presidential Scholar for the fall 2007 semester at Clarkson University in Pottsdam, N.Y., where he is a sophomore majoring in electrical engineering.

Katherine B. Porter, daughter of Harvie and Susan Porter was cited for outstanding academic achievement in Psychological & Brain Sciences 101 during the fall 2007 semester at Dartmouth College, where she is a member of the Class of 2010.
