Larry E. Poole

BETHEL—Larry E. Poole, 60, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2008 in Bethel.

He was born August 21, 1947 in Westerly, R.I. He was the son of George and Irene (LaFountain) Poole.

Larry attended Hope Valley (R.I.) schools. Following his education, he served with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. After his discharge from the service, he returned to Hope Valley, where he worked as a carpenter. In 1980 he moved to Vermont. Larry later lived with his daughter, Delores, in Griswold, Conn. before returning to Bethel in September of 2007. He enjoyed watching westerns and NASCAR on TV.

He is survived by his daughter Delores Miller of Griswold, Conn.; three sons: Edward Poole, Donald Huntley of Windsor and John Huntley of Florida; several brothers and sisters; and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents and a son, Larry Poole, Jr.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
