Annoyed at Having
To Vote Again

I’m annoyed. There seems to be no consideration for the voters who turned out for the special vote on where to have the new municipal offices, only consideration for those who didn’t show up at the polls.

We were going to be out of town for the day of the voting so we made the little extra effort to drop downtown and cast our ballots a few days early. We personally didn’t care which place was chosen but we talked with several of the people who work in that cramped space to receive some direction on what would be best for them.

Those who didn’t vote don’t deserve another opportunity to change the minds of those who did vote. It cost time and money to set up that voting day.

It is after-the-fact now, but it seems to me that the petition to continue this issue should have been considered out of order and not have been accepted since balloting did take place in an orderly manner and those that cared responded by exercising their right to vote at that time.
