Union Is Proud
Of CVPS Award

It is with enormous pride that the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 300 congratulates Central Vermont Public Service on winning the prestigious Edison Electric Institute Emergency Recovery Award.

CVPS recently garnered the accolade because of its heroic response to the April 2007 storm whose hurricane-force winds cut power to 68,000 customers.

IBEW Local 300, Vermont's premiere union for the electrical industry, has a rock-solid relationship with the CVPS leadership team and currently represents 214 employees there-all of whom play a vital role in the state's energy future.

Each day, these dedicated members exhibit the top-notch work ethic, broad knowledge and uncompromising commitment to safety that being a union member requires. Clearly, the CVPS staff understands what it takes to maintain an electrical system in a rural region with unpredictable weather.

Congratulations to all!
